Salamanca
This, the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca is praised
as one of the most beautiful in Spain. John Michener says it is one of
the top four in the world in his book Iberia. We couldn't quite see it,
but the weather was terrible on this Easter weekend day, in fact it snowed
most of the time we were in Salamanca.
This is a famous house in Salamanca, because of
the use of the shells in the masonry was viewed as stunning architectural
design in the 1300's when it was built. We liked the look.
